The Leger Legends Classified Stakes is the only British charity race for ex-professional jockeys. For the first time in its history, the race took place on a Sunday in 2023, the fourth and final day of the St Leger Festival at Doncaster Racecourse. It was the feature race on that day, capturing the attention of the national racing media and increasing the number of racegoers to Doncaster significantly. The race, which was first run in 2010, is a focus for a wonderful charity lunch – arguably the most entertaining and fun racing lunch in the calendar. The day raises money for both the National Horseracing College and the Injured Jockeys Fund Jack Berry House.
